The advantages of contributing an e-module to e-LERU are numerous. As a scholar or scientist and a teacher you will meet new colleagues who are participating in the e-LERU virtual campus. On the one hand you may enrich your teaching through collaboration with other European colleagues. On the other hand you may contribute to the improvement of European education by sharing your expertise in research and education.
International cooperation will become increasingly important in the future: e-LERU tutors can join this trend in a controlled and supported environment where they can choose the extent of their collaboration. A further advantage of collaboration is that it gives an opportunity to create more and sometimes unique study materials enabling students to have access to those materials. Students attending e-LERU teaching modules will be given an opportunity to take high quality courses which would otherwise not be available to them. Participation in distance learning courses that are the result of inter-university collaboration will clearly add a dimension of European excellence to their degree.
